![]() TO THE DEAF COMMUNITY: GET A HUMANAre you tired of calling telephone numbers to major companies, organizations and others through Relay and then the Relay Operator types all of those "voice mail messages" to you? WELL, THERE IS A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM! Go to the webpage at http://gethuman.com/ . This is a list of how to get a Human Being -- a live person -- to help you when you call the listed businesses and organizations! Yay! If you are going to call one of the companies or organizations on their list, tell the Relay Operator, BEFORE THE RELAY CALL BEGINS, that you want them to do whatever the "gethuman" site says, so that your call will not be delayed by a lot of "recorded messages". For example, when you want to call Relay to 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, you would just tell the Relay Operator: "Call (800) 716-4851, and Press 2 at each prompt." Or, if you are calling American Airlines Customer Service through Relay, tell the Relay Operator: "Call (800) 433-7300, and Press 0 at each prompt, ignoring messages." CHECK THIS LIST for the phone numbers you use often, and save the website for http://gethuman.com/ on your computer for future use. And tell all of your friends who use Relay, too! This is very important, and it will save a lot of frustration. [NOTE: If you frequently call a company or organization that is not on this list, you can ask a hearing friend to call that number, and tell you how they got to a live Operator.
